Mariam Aly

Ph.D., University of California, Davis (2013)

Mariam is interested in how information is processed in different hippocampal subfields, and how this enables the hippocampus to play a broad role in cognition, from perception to long-term memory. Her interest in psychology and neuroscience began in childhood, after she gave up her (toy) medical doctor’s kit for kids’ books on the brain and perception.
