Judith Fan

Ph.D., Princeton University (2016)
jefan@princeton.edu
www.judithfan.net
Judy’s research examines how humans guide their own learning, such as by selecting which information to pay attention to, what memories to bring to mind, and which actions to perform. She found herself in cognitive science by way of a longstanding curiosity about how inventive our species is — the way humans are constantly tinkering with existing things, whether physical objects or ideas, and turning them into stuff that is totally new (and even useful!).
